We are pleased to announce our Call for Abstracts for the upcoming Indoor Air 2026 conference, with the theme "Enhancing Wellbeing in Existential Challenges – Deepening Understanding, Building Resilience".

Submission Deadline
15 October 2025

It revolves around the subthemes mentioned below, and we invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe to submit their original work in the form of a Full Paper or an Extended Abstract.

Two-Step Review Process

Abstracts

To be reviewed and subsequently invited for the next phase of submission.

Papers

Invited authors can either submit a Full Paper or an Extended Abstract for the final review.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions are to be done through ConfTool. The length of submissions should conform to the following requirements:

Abstracts
250-350 words

Initial submission for review and invitation to next phase

Full Papers
4-6 pages

Complete research papers with detailed methodology and results

Extended Abstracts
Maximum 2 pages

Expanded abstracts with key findings and implications

Workshop Proposals
2-3 pages

As per template provided for interactive sessions

IA2026 Special Issues of Top Journals

Authors of selected IA2026 papers will be invited to submit an expanded version of their papers to be considered for Special Issues of the following journals:

Indoor Environments
Building and Environment
Energy and Buildings
Building Simulation
Special Issue Requirements
  • Expanded versions of papers for consideration in the above journals must contain significant new material beyond that in conference paper
  • Must include additional data and analysis
  • All submissions must still pass peer review using the same standard as a normal paper submitted to these journals
