History of Indoor Air Conferences
Indoor Air is a well-established conference series with a science orientation. We attract researchers and other professionals from the fields of indoor air quality, built environments, HVAC, health sciences, public health policy, chemistry, biology, psychology, urban planning, mechanical engineering, architecture, and building design and management to discuss the latest scientific advances and ongoing research in the field.
Indoor Air conferences are organized every second year (even years) as international events and gather typically about 600-900 participants, with 800-900 papers presented in oral and poster form. Conferences also serve ISIAQ related side events, such as the Students' Summer School, meetings of the Scientific Technical Committees, ISIAQ Academy, Board and the Annual General Meeting.
The conferences form an important meeting point for personal information exchange between ISIAQ and its members and ISIAQ-members mutually. Conferences are one of the more important membership activities provided by ISIAQ.

History of ISIAQ

The International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate, ISIAQ, was founded in 1992 by 109 international scientists and practitioners. It is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, scientific, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the creation of healthy, comfortable and productivity-encouraging indoor environments.
As a Society, our main objective is to actively promote international and interdisciplinary communication and the exchange of valuable information pertaining to the indoor environment, indoor air, climate, science, and health. We do so by diligently publishing and encouraging the publication of research and studies in the field.
Moreover, we take great pride in organizing, sponsoring, and supporting various initiatives like meetings, conferences, and seminars, all dedicated to shedding light on the importance of indoor air quality and climate. In addition, we remain committed to developing, adapting, and maintaining guidelines that serve as a blueprint for enhancing indoor air quality and ensuring a healthy indoor environment.
Furthermore, our dedication to this cause extends to our collaboration with government bodies, agencies, and other societies that share a common interest in the well-being of the indoor environment and the impact it has on human health. By working together, we strive to create a cleaner and healthier indoor environment for all.
